Jamie, at Chosen Chaos has started a neat little program – basically, get all of her blogging (and non-blogging) running friends together, and see if we can log the mileage from coast to coast between us.
Of course, she started this and I immediately came down with whatever the heck I had, but now I’m back . . . and I’m linking up.
Run: that part is easy, you put one leg in front of the other, leaving the ground for just a tiny bit of time.
Blog: well, in theory, I know how to do this — write stuff, be snarky.
Give: I’ll be donating $1.00 for every run I log during this adventure . . . I don’t know which charity will win out, but I’ve been in the unenviable position of wanting to run/cycle/canoe/yodel a charity event, but have come up short with the necessary funding. So, as things wind down, I’ll look through my comments, I’ll check out Twitter, I’ll find someone who needs my help to ensure that he/she will be able to complete their charity event. And I’ll donate. And I’ll feel good about myself.
And then I’ll probably run some more.
What a great idea, maybe this will be the project that actually gets me to START running.
We’d love to have you Jessica… no pressure and all levels of enthusiasts welcome. We have some strictly walkers all the way to seasoned marathoners! Hope to see you!
I’m so glad you’re feeling better to join the team John!! Thanks for participating!
hmmm … can i be a cheerleader – i will bring pom poms and everything 😉
This is such a great idea. Run John Run!
So… can I help charity while being lazy? ‘Cause that’s really my niche.
That’s a fabulous idea, donating so someone else can reach the charity goal for a race. Hope you log many miles now that you’re feeling well again!
Awesome idea. Glad you’re feeling better!
Im in! I wanna do it! I’m actually running/fundraising for an ovarian cancer run in August. I would love to train with team in training again but I can’t fundraise $1k again. That’s tough, much less $4 to go to Nike.
Great idea.
And I sense a strong competitor in you. Despite your slow start I expect you will raise A LOT of money. Go, daddy, go!
