    haha!!! That was AWESOME!

    • Thanks, Amy! I’m going to try to record my kids’ reactions to it sometime soon . . . it’s a lot cuter when they do it back to me :-)

  2. “You all know I have no shame…” Ha!

    Love it, John.
In fact, I’m thinking of playing it for my kids before bedtime tonight.

Except they go to bed after I do.
And they are in middle school.
Plus, they would see your suit and assume they had gotten detention or something.

    But your kids?

    So very lucky.
    Yep. I loved it.

  3. Just so you know, I’m going to wake my child from her much-too-late nap to watch this.

And yeah, that was quite possibly the best first vlog I’ve ever seen. Thank you.

    • I scared the shit out of Mad, didn’t it?

And I’m really not ever shy – especially in front of a camera, so I’m not sure why it’s taken me so long to post a vlog.

  4. Oh, my heart.

You’re actually a Muppet brought to life though some kind wonderful magic.

I may be seeing wee hearts and stars orbiting my head. And giggling like a mad thing.

    • You know, when I was a kid, I wanted nothing more than to be on the Muppet Show. So, um, maybe I am a Muppet brought back to life :-)

Glad to make you giggle, as I’m still kind-of blushing.

    That. Was. Awesome.

    Hahahaha.

    Loved it!

It is now virtually impossible for me to have a bad day after watching that:) I may have to borrow your moves. You may be the Bob Fosse of daddies. Gotta love jazz hands!

  7. Mad’s response was giggling.
Mad’s response to her own mom doing that: “No you do that!”

And I’m w/ Cam, you ARE a Muppet brought to life. But I’m pretty sure I’ll have to get that thought out of my head when I read your next post.

ha! That is Fantastic! it would have been a little funny if someone walked into the room… lol

    • You can see me look over, just in case – but this was over an hour before the start of the wedding, in a basement classroom. I very nearly recorded this in the choir loft, but as soon as I first hit the “record” button, the bride & the bridesmaids walked in for pre-ceremony pictures . . . that would have been funny :-)

  9. I. Die.
    That is positively awesome.
And now it’s stuck in my head.
    Thanks for that!

    • It is catchy, isn’t it?

In the transition from dinner to bathtime tonight, I’m going to try to catch my daughter doing this back to me. I swear, it wakes kids right up.

  10. My 2 year old is now watching this on repeat on my phone. I’m hoping she falls asleep with no problems tonight.

  11. Thank you for sharing!! Hilarious. I wish I had videotaped some of the goofy things I did with my kids…for posterity and to lift my mood. I was feeling down but you made me smile (laugh).

    • Glad to make you smile :-)

Not too long ago, I was thinking that I absolutely cherish pictures of my grandparents (if there are any), and that pictures of my old childhood are few & far between.

But my kids – they’ll have a never-ending documentary of their own childhood to pass on.

  12. absolutely.HILARIOUS.

  13. So I totally can’t make this work and that makes me sad.

    • That makes me very, very sad, too – because it’s pretty cool, if I do say so, myself. Can you watch You Tube videos? Because I can cross-post it there.

  14. OMG.

    I have no words.

And I mean that in the best way!

    LOVE!

  15. Oh. My. Funny.
You are ridiculous, which as you know is a top requirement for a dad.
I’m not sure if I want to show the kids or not. It might become a trend.
